Home Assistant add-on DomBusGateway : DomBus 2 MQTT bridge

This addon is used to manage one or more networks of DomBus modules, reliable and low-power consuming domotic modules with inputs, outputs, relays, sensors, and application specific like EVSE (electric vehicle charging) and single/dual axis solar tracker.

Any DomBus command/status is converted to MQTT with AutoDiscovery, so all entities are created automatically.

About DomBus

DomBus is a proprietary low-latency protocol developed by Creasol running in a RS485 wired bus, using a standard alarm cable (within 4 wires: 2 for 12/24V power supply and 2 for data).
It is easy to build the bus because the cable is thin and can be connected with any topology, linear, star, tree and a mix of these…
As bus also provides a low voltage power supply (typically 13.8V, using a power supply unit with optional backup battery in case that home automation system have to work even in case of blackout), and domotic modules have a internal switching mode voltage regulator, power consumption of each module is very low, normally 10÷15mW.

Similarly to KNX, it permits to exchange commands/statuses between the controller and modules, and also between modules (multi-master protocol), so it’s possible to configure simple automations that are managed by the DomBus modules directly without the need of the controller (Home Assistant in this case).
