This is possibly more of a development policy question around Home Assistant Core integrations. The Energy plugin for Duke Energy (an energy provider in the US) is included in HA Core, but has been broken since January. There have been some efforts from the community to solve the problem (which it appears they have), but the outstanding PRs are sitting fallow. The maintainer has been MIA (at least on GitHub) for most of 2025. Obviously real life takes precedence. But should there be someone from the Core dev team who should be able to alleviate the load on the primary devs to keep things in HA Core working?
If there’s a better place to ask this question, please LMK. I chose here because it is specific to HA energy integration.
