Home assistant crashes, but logs vanish. Any way to keep?

I’ve read a few topics about this, but everyone seems to run different set ups so I am not sure which to use.

I’m running Home Assistant OS on a RPi 3+ (I think +). I have a 128GB SSD running via USB to the Pi. I also have a sonoff zigbee stick running on an extension cord.

Everything was running ok until I started to upgrade the front end and Core. Now it will just crash randomly. I’m using about 26% memory with the plugins - mostly automations/scripts and running MQTT / Zigbee stuff.

Is there a way to make the log retain it’s contents without being wiped with a reboot?

Thanks for any help on this. It’s driving me mad!!

Recently they added home-assistant.log.1 which is the previous log.
But as is often the case (as far as I can tell) they didn’t tell anyone. :man_shrugging:

You should always have one version of history.
