Home Assistant does not load after installing mosquito from hassio

I am pretty new to Home Assistant. I just installed hassio on a raspberry pi a few weeks ago and have been working on it on and off, with the goal of setting up a bunch of tasmota devices in. I was working through this tutorial last night and I got as far as installing mosquito and then left it. This morning when I tried to access Home Assistant from the usual IP:8123 path, browser says “connection was reset” and nothing loads. It looks like the server is down completely. Unfortunately, I do not have SSH or Samba setup yet. I took the SD card out and plugged into my Linux machine and I can see 4 mount points.

I am guessing, it there is any hope to recovery, it will be somewhere in the hassos-data point. However, searching through all those nested folders, I am pretty lost and can not find my way. Here are my question:

  • where can I find a log file that would tell me why the server is failing to load?
  • how can I revert the mosquito installation to see if that is the issue?
  • Where can I find and edit the configuration.yaml file, to see if I messed up something in there

Any tips or advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Sorry this turn out to be totally my own fault. I forgot I have also just setup the DuckDNS domain and did not realize I can no longer access home assistant using IP address directly. When I access it via DuckDNS domain name, it works. Thanks!
