Home Assistant for iOS 2.0 Beta Testing

I just have two, both are device_tracker.

So I believe a new UUID is generated for each app setup, did you perhaps have to reset the app?

These are changing in either the next build or the one after to be human readable. I would suggest adding both as device_tracker entities and seeing which one updates.

upgraded my phone. Trying to reinstall the app on my watch since then, the installation never stops (icon keeps spinning)
tried to uninstall the app from phone. watch, reboot watch, phone, to no avail.
I’m on iPhone XS iOS 12.2, WatchOS 5.1.3, HA0.92.0, and V2.0.0 0.(40) for the iOS app.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Robbie any update?

I am seeing two different errors now, but not sure if they have anything to do with eachother.

  1. When I press Validate and Save Connection Settings I get the following message

I Can still connect, but the mobile component is never loaded. I have mobile_app in configuration.yaml

Second error which might or might not have anything to do with the first one is, no localisation is working. And when I try to manually send the data I get this message:

@robbiet480 if you read this. I’ve just gone through a complete unpair and re-pair the watch as a new one. The install icon keeps spinning but never starts

Not too sure what to try now. Any suggestions?

Robbie is planning to push a new build out tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that and read the change log/release notes. There’s a few breaking changes coming I believe.

Does changing the Show App on APple Watch switch in TestFlight do anything? Mine is off but the app installed on the watch just fine.

Ah thanks. That would make sense. However when I toggle the switch, it tries to install then I get an error message from TestFlight: Couldn't install Home Assistant β on Apple Watch. Try again
will keep trying but for now I have something to “play” with. Thanks

Yep, that’s what it’s doing for me. All I can think off sorry.

The following webhook has shown up in my cloud integrations. It’s not something I configured and is currently disabled.

Does anyone else have this? What is it for? What happens if it’s enabled?

New build is now available!

Just upgraded iOS 2.0 (40) app crashes when it tries integration created after you put in the user name. And password. ideas?

Are you sure your Home Assistant is on 0.92?

Correctionn 2.0 (42) not (40)

Just tried it - I seem to be stuck in a loop on the onboarding process. I tried opening it from work where it won’t be able to see HA.

I get:
welcome > scanning > found 0 > enter manually > flashes over a text input page after 1 sec > text input page > enter address > connect > welcome/repeat

Force restarting the app hasn’t helped - I previously had it configured ont he last beta.

I’m running 0.92.1

I’m on 0.92.0b3

Already found a bug with manual setup, new build coming in the next hour or two with a fix for that. For now, you are stuck, sorry :frowning:
