I accidentally deleted my scripts.yaml, so I backed up, then restored an older backup (took about 30-40min) and that worked, so I copied my old scripts.yaml, then restored the recent backup. HA never came back up after 90min. Then I did a factory reset and it’s been about 60min and it’s still not coming back up to the URL. I plugged in HDMI and it doesn’t look like it factory reset at all. So I tried another factory reset with HDMI and it doesn’t seem to be correctly resetting. What do I do next? It’s pretty infuriating that the one or two steps that are designed to be last resort to recover the device aren’t working.
I’m not sure why it wasn’t starting up, but I rebooted a few times and it seemed to come back with a fresh instance. That said, I recovered the newer backup, and then used HDMI/USB to edit the configuration.yaml that was causing HA to not be available, and then it came up, so problem solved.
