I have recently bought a Home Assistant Green. I keep seeing mention of Lovelace. What is it for and do I need it?

On top of what Renato has posted, simply put this is (was) the way to refer to the UI and in the past this was more visible but lately we are using ‘Dashboard’ more frequently.
