Is there a way to configure Home Asistent Green so that when the Ethernet connection is reestablished after a short network/ISP downtime that it carries on running without needing a power cycle?
It has an entry in the router’s DCHP table so will always be assigned the same IP address.
Could you tell us more about why you need to power cycle? My HA normally recovers fairly gracefully. It’s not a Green, admittedly, but I would be surprised if that behaved differently from other installations.
HA should already do this. There’s something going on.
How is HA connected to your router. The internet is going out should not take out your local connection therefore it’s just a matter if the internet is AVAILABLE
The HA Green’s LED lights seem to indicate normal activity. When trying to connect say via the mobile app I get the error ‘can not exchange SSL certificates’. This may just be down to some configuration setting. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
SSL certificates require working DNS servers and ability to contact the CA servers that authenticate the certificates used.
If your ISP is down and then you get a connection again, then it might just be your connection to the ISP that is up again and not the connection from your ISP to the internet.
