I was happily using HAOS 2026.5.7 on my MiniPC - I've been using HAOS for a long time. When I tried to move to 2026.6.0 and beyond, my sidebar went faulty - i.e. missing entries. In settings- apps - the relevant apps are all there including 2 zigbee2mqtt entries (2 different properties tied together by Tailscale), Node-Red and more... and the entry for each - "show in sidebar" is ticked - but they are not in the sidebar (one of the Zigbee entries is but with an old name). If I untick each one and re-tick - they reappear in the sidebar.
The re-appearing sidebar entries survive control-F5 of my Chrome browser but not a Home Assistant restart.
HELP - all is working except for these disappearing sidebar items -
If I untick "show in sidebar" for items that should show, then tick again, then use that right-click head trick you suggested - you see here a subset of what appears... but on Node-REd restart I'll be back to square 1. This has nevre happened before 2026.6.x
I can only tell File-Editor and Advanced SSH & Web Terminal, shows fine in my 2026.6.4
Along with 3 other "APPs", and done that in all 2026.6.x versions
So i thing it's something else in your Install which are "spooky"
Which OS Version, etc are you on ? ( About: Versions ) , and are you "APPs" latest versions ?
Also, if you haven't try to delete all your "stored" RefreshTokens, in your profile#security and log out, and in again
Beside make sure it's not a "sticky browser cache" issue
Hello. I'm on the latest version as of just a couple of days ago and the app is on the latest version. I've just tried to delete all my stalled refresh tokens in Profile > Security and I also did a Ctrl+F5 on the browser. Everything stayed as it was so then I did a restart on Home Assistant. Unpredictably I'm back to square one: half of the items on the left have disappeared again.
Damn. Can't possibly be because you're using the same user on another device, because the sidebar change for that was done months ago. It would only have bitten you now if you hadn't updated HA in 3-4 months.
Well, thanks for trying - incidentally I've tried incognito mode, different browser (I use Chrome on Win 11 Pro), control F5, my Android phone - all consistent, reduced side bar menu which can be restored by unticking "show in sidebar" then re-ticking - but the repair doesn't survive a home assistant restart. Any more takers? And yes, everything actually works... "start on boot" IS enabled.
Did my best to help because I figured I owe you one. If you're who I think you are, your guide helped me flash the Sinilink usb switch back when I was getting started
Pretty sure I am and thank you for trying - this one's not a deal breaker but it's inconvenient... life used to be so simple back then They were a nice gadget... I'll likely get into trouble for this but here's the blog link... scargill.net
I have the same issue since last weekend. I updated to 2026.7 and there was also HAOS operating system update.
I did the toggling, did the trick, but then I restarted HA, and they are gone again.
Different browsers, mobile app, all the same.
Also my speakers running off ESP32 now have a 15 second delay. Connectioing to HA seems sluggish. Might be related, might not.
Well thats at least 2 of us - I’m not seeing anything in the way of solutions however… I’m bang up to date now with all packages and HA and the side menu still screws up on HA erboot every time. Any ideas anyone?
