I’d like to share a side project I’ve been working on: Home Overlay, a free and open-source mixed reality app for Apple Vision Pro that brings your Home Assistant setup into your physical space.
With Home Overlay, you can:
- Place entities into your actual room using passthrough AR.
- Control lights and switches using intuitive gestures.
- Adjust brightness and colors in real time.
- View your devices laid out in your home without having to search for the right button.
- Keep panels anchored in your room, even after restarting the app or device.
- Glance at calendar events and weather forecasts in your space.
- Connect locally to your Home Assistant instance (via RESTful API).
