Home assistant installation problem

hello I have a problem installing Home assistant. On the device wyse 5740. The whole installation according to the guide on Ubuntu. The problem appears after turning off the device, I do not install Home assistant, I pop up on the screen:

Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions.

Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions. To enable less(1)-like paging, “set pager=1”.

Why doesn’t the installation start after restarting the wyse 5740?

There really isn’t anything to go by in this post.

Take a step back, we don’t know what you have done (yes, you’re pointing to a guide, but that doesn’t tell us which parts you followed, to which extent and using which files) - and we don’t have the slightest idea what you’re seeing after rebooting (into) haos.

That suggests your board being correctly configured (UEFI on, secure boot off), grub is starting but can’t find its grub.cfg or falls over something else.

It’s still possible that the method of writing the haos image to disk wasn’t quite correct (some GUI based helpers have their own idea of what to do), but we don’t know what you (actually) did there (or if there are potentially USB sticks or similar with incomplete/ stale linux installations that are in the way).

I even tried Linux Mint. I formatted the disk FAT32 again. Partition type EFI system as shown in the instructions. Unfortunately the same symptoms. After winning the ISO, it is like this

Can you please link to the guide that tells you to install Ubuntu on the target machine?

The official guide says to make a bootable Ubuntu USB drive. Generic x86-64 - Home Assistant

You boot Ubuntu from USB and then roll the ISO to haos. This is the same guide you gave method 1.

That was what I wanted to clear up. It sounded like you were installing Ubuntu on the main system drive.

No one knows how to solve the installation problem in my case

if you google ‘wyse 5740 home assistant’, yours is the only thread found. But there are a lot for wyze 5070. Maybe similar enough ?

What boot options are listed when you press F12 during power up?

the disk on which I am restoring the iso is displayed

Keep in mind, we don’t see what you’re seeing, we can’t push the boot menu button ([F12]?) on your behalf, we can’t check the BIOS (UEFI) settings, we don’t know what’s starting to boot (and ends up in the unidentified grub shell) - and neither did you provide a step-by-step account of what you did try so far.

To be honest, I don’t even know where you fail - if it’s with live-booting Ubuntu/ Mint/ whatever or the haos image you’d write to the internal disk…

Looks like a bad flash. There should be multiple partitions.
I don’t have a picture but it should look something like this

# lsblk -oNAME,SIZE,FSTYPE,LABEL
NAME SIZE FSTYPE LABEL
sda 32G
|-sda1 32M vfat hassos-boot
