Home assistant no longer booting up

Hi all,

I’m running Hassio on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+. Its been great for all of 2019 so far, then yesterday it kept going offline then back online again. I decided to restart it but it wouldn’t come to life, I then did a hard reset (Unplug power and back in again) and it won’t even boot up to connect to the network.

I installed a fresh version of Hassio on another SD card and put that in to confirm if the problem was with the Pi or the instance of Hassio - The new SD card booted up fine :frowning:.

When I plug the power in, the pwr light stays on, the ACT light flashes and then stays off - the ethernet lights don’t light up at all.

Any ideas on why this might have happened? Or even how I could save my instance of home assistant?

Sounds like a dead sdcard.

Put it in a Linux machine(or install software in Windows to read Linux partitions) and get the config directory off of it and put it on your new install.

Oh, yeah.
It’s simple to use a live linux image and start the PC from there.
