Have you found a solution yet? I have the same problem, running a DS215j. When I try to run hass directly (not through the daemon) I get a more detailed error message. Here it is:
Traceback (most recent call last):

ImportError: No module named 'pip.locations'
So it appears that there is a module called ‘pip.locations’ but I have no idea how to install it. Pip works fine and the installation went smoothly according to the instructions, so that’s why I am a little confused about this error. Also I am not sure about it running under a virtual environment which it appears to be doing.
Anyone have any ideas?
