Is it possible for the app on the phone for home assistant. To push the new zone (or all info) to home assistant then entering a new zone.
This makes home detection. Or public transport info based on your zone so much more accurate.
It already does that, but your phone settings might slow it down, like having the GPS set to a low accuracy, so it might not right away detect it and the connection state not set to directly connected, so it has to group data before sending it.
Both setting nga can be adjusted to improve accuracy and speed, but it costs on battery life and the cost can be quite high.

not really following the ask here, the device tracker updates with GPS coordinates and the apps also send events based on geofence events that include GPS data
