Since I had another issue with Home Assistant (the VirtualBox image keeps on growing endlessly), I decided I wanted to just create a new installation of HA. After creating a new VM, I was presented with the easy option to restore a snapshot, but that did not work, also not if I first created a login, installed Samba to copy the snapshot and restore it. HA would start, but there was no GUI at port 8123 (observer was working). After a lot of investigating I found out that if I first specified the correct fixed IP before restoring, the restore worked fine. Is this a known issue?
