My goal is to use for a few more years with the same hardware if possible.
I do upgrades with backups as they come out, except for the last couple. I can restore from approximately 2026.2.3 and everything is fine.
What I have been able to find is that my generic-x86-64 has reached some kind of cutoff? The hardware is 3.2ghz with 16gb of ram so is it an age type of cutoff?
Could anyone
suggest some hardware that will be acceptable for a few more years?
Not sure how to attach the event log but I didn’t see anything in it like this.
Thank you
Try to be more specific in regards to your hardware, and your “install” i.e haos bare-metal or VM, cpu’s Etc. ?
at a first glance it doesn’t sounds like you have hardware issues, unless you’r running on 1 core/cpu
Event-log is not of much use, however CORE-Log could be
You can copy/paste/download those files in /settings/system/logs, make sure you “click” on ALL Options in every corner/side, so you get “familiar” with what you can “find” there
( Make sure you start by posting relevant parts )
Read the first Post in this Forum in regards to howto paste “code” correctly , in a post here

It was a bare metal install using the hass image.
While searching I had found the cutoff for generic-x86-64 was 2026.4.1,
Seems things went wrong a little before then but that was all I could find.
I have tried pasting the core log using the pre formatted text option but the system says it is too many characters.
Ok, most likely because you a “new” and only have 5min read time ![]()
And you didn’t even bother to describe neither your System, nor your Problem
So maybe you “missed” something in the url i provided
Not sure where you got that idea from, please don’t use either AI ( or google for that matter ) When there is a very “impressive” documentation for Homeassistant
https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/generic-x86-64/
Thou both Google and any AI would have provided you with the same url’s and info
So im not sure where or how you “Search”
Being a paying member my search began at nabu casa.
I did read the link even before posting, sorry to not meet your satisfaction.
I am going to close this and you can move along.
