I’m suing a Ryzen system with Debian 11 & HA supervised 2022.11.2 for Sonoff & Shelly switches and Hikvision cameras. There is also another local device showing the dashboard including camera feeds using AlexxIT/WebRTC that is always on and has a browser auto refresh.
When I connect remotely, via Chrome, to check camera feeds, I often close the tab afterwards to reduce bandwidth. When I open another HA tab this seems to stack connections to all devices, not just the wired cams but the 2.4ghz switches as well and I end up seeing high volumes of traffic being transmitted to the devices and cameras, and all around the same transfer rate.
This then becomes noticeable on the wifi network first. When only connecting via my phone on the local network I don’t seem to have this issue. I am using router firmware to monitor the traffic.
The issue is resolved with a restart of the HA service.
