I have been toying with the HA PE voice assistant for a couple weeks now. Its ability to respond to the wake word is good or maybe too good in a way. I originally use 'hey Mycroft ’ as the wake word but found it falsely triggered on audio from my TV and changing it to ‘hey Jarvis’ was a great improvement. The ability for the PE to ‘hear’ is at the heart of my problem. There is invariably sound from TV or music playing on a nearby Echo Show (within 15 ft.) and the PE can accurately repeat that audio while failing to respond to my voice request. Hearing is obviously not the problem but listening is. Is there a microphone sensitivity adjustment available. I’m not sure that is the fix but it is something to try. The PE appears to have two microphones 180⁰ separated as opposed to Echo devices which have 3. Realizing that the PE is basically in beta development, my Echo Show in the same environment has little problem deciphering commands.
