I just plugged in my “Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition” (what a name!) for the first time in a long time and now I can’t do anything because it wants to do an update / thinks it’s doing an update. The update progress is jumping all over the place, it just went from 5% to 0%. This already happened multiple times. Restarting Home Assistant or the Voice Assistant doesn’t help. How do I get it unstuck? Also: once that works I would like to try to integrate it with my openclaw setup. Ideally I would just like to download the raw audio from the device / sent audio to the device. Any pointers?
A Factory Reset has lead to the same outcome. I’m stuck again at the “We are making sure you have the latest updates. This may take a few minutes.” screen after it supposetly had already started an update. This device is pretty frustrating.
Came here looking for answers to this as well. Brand new to all things HA though.
I ended up flashing the firmware using the browser tool which was easy enough. Also when I finally was able to use the assistant it didn’t help me at all because it just offered my to buy a (pretty expensive) subscription from them or tell me that it wasn’t able to do the local setup. I ended up ignoring the assistant and setup everything manually.
