Home Asstant local interface slow on Firefox 13X.X

I’ve noticed that sometimes, my Mac’s Firefox is super slow on Home Assistant. I’ve always used Firefox, so I thought it was a problem with my HA setup. But when I switched to Chrome, everything was lightning-fast. Sometimes, just closing Firefox fixes the issue for a bit.

The other weird thing is that when Firefox is acting slow on HA, other websites work perfectly. So, I think it’s something specific about HA and Firefox that’s not working well together.

Let me give you some examples to illustrate this. When you go to Automatons, you might have to wait 2-5 seconds to see the list of automatons. That’s not too bad, but when you try to edit an automation, it hangs for like 30-50 seconds. And while it’s hanging, if I open another Firefox tab and try to go to HA, it’s no use. But if I open Chrome and go to HA, everything works fine. So, HA isn’t the problem - it’s just Firefox with HA.

This started happening after the 2025.2.X update. I’m not sure if they’re making changes to websites or if Firefox made some changes at the same time.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

I came here looking for posts about slow page loads … I too use firefox, load on my VM is very low but pages take ages to load … noticable on the integrations page … the icons populate in batches and some are not loaded for some time … just tried chrome and no such issues.

Did you manage to “fix” it ?
