Home Pods show as AppleTVs, it this expected behavior?

I’m new here. And new to Home Assistant.

I have two AppleTVs and they show up as AppleTVs. So far, so good. :slight_smile:

I have three Home Pods, two original and one mini, and they show up as AppleTVs as well. Curious. And I have an AirPort Express, and it shows up as an AppleTV. Curiouser.

Is this to be expected?

I’ve reviewed the documentation, and searched the forum, but I’ve not found a definitive answer.

System info: I’m running on an GMK G3 miniPC, with HAOS installed as a VM using Proxmox. Version info:
