This thermostat is set up via the SmartIR component and uses a broadlink rm mini 3 to send the IR codes to the AC unit. Inside homeassistant it displays and works perfectly:

This AC unit only works in Celsius (even though its exclusively sold in North America – I know, weird). But as you can see via the screenshot above, homseassistant correctly functions in Celsius (the “24 auto” you can see inside the thermostat card).
HOWEVER, when this is synced to google assistant, google home it tries to make the device work in Fahrenheit which there aren’t codes for and will never work:

Interestingly enough if I try to use the google home app to change the temp, obviously it doesn’t work. But if I say “Hey google set the home ac to 24 degrees” or some other temperature in celsius, or if I ask it to change the mode the ac is operating in, google assistant correctly changes the temperature or mode. I just can’t do it via the google home app because the display/options are incorrect.
