HomeAssistant Green - Won't start up

When I plug in my Home Assistant Green, all I get is the white LED. I have held the power button down to turn it off, unplugged it, waited for five minutes, and plugged it back in with an SD card, and still nothing. Keyboard does not get power, no HDMI output. I added a CR 2032 to no avail. I'm using the included power brick.

Edit- Additional details:
I have tried two four GB SD cards, each written and verified by Balena Etcher 2.1.6, using the latest release of the Green installer from Github, 20240410. It's plugged into ethernet, but the switch it is plugged into does not see it, or get any traffic from it when turned on.

Is this a new device and was it (not) working at first run since they come with HAOS already installed?

Yes, this is a new device and has been happening since first plugin.

Are you doing this in Windows and did you run it as Admin?

You could wipe the SD-card first with CMD utility diskpart.
That's the tool, then 'list disk' -> 'select disk #' -> 'clean'

Yes, I'm creating the SD cards in Windows. I'll give that a try. Thanks!

I also have WSL installed, if there's a better way to go through Ubuntu.

No, writing the SD-card the right way should be OK in Windows.

I'm not sure about how Balena handles this file but you are downloading an archive which I guess you have to unpack first.

Ok, I've reflashed the SD card, after cleaning it. I'm trying to give at least five minutes between unplugging and turning it on again, so I'll be back in a bit.

Well, I got it to take the flash once, but afterwards I'm back to the white LED only. SD card inserted or no.

You did unpack that file first, right?

Yes, Balena unpacks, copies, then verifies the card.

Can you try with another ethernet cable, another port and you do not happen to run any kind of networkwide blocking software like Pi-Hole, Adguard, ...
That switch you are connecting to, is it on the same logical network as all your other devices?

Yep, no Pi-Hole or other software. The Green is plugged in right next to the computer I'm posting from- it's a Unifi AP. I can see on the time it did power up, it connected to GitHub and downloaded ~360 MB. I'll move ports and get back to you.

OK, if it's downloading, the connection seems to work.

When you insert the SD-card, it's powered off, the card clicks when inserted and then you power it on, right?
And still you only get the white LED?

Yep, that's right. The SD card doesn't stick out at all, and I've made sure I don't have it upside down (not that it would fit if it was).

Can you connect a keyboard and display when it's booting?
Disconnect to power unit, leave it for about 5min. and boot.

You are not using VLANs?

Yep, I've had them plugged in for a while now- even making sure to wake the monitor up before turning the Green on. The keyboard has a back light for the keys, and I've only had the backlight come on the one time I got it to flash properly. I got video output then too, but nothing before or since.

You don't get any activity on the LED from the network port and yet you see that something is downloaded from GH?
