My hood is well recognized
I’ll just have to fix the IPs in relation to the mac addresses
Thanks again for everything.

This sounds great! What I gather from reading the documentation, I can block internet access of the devices to the internet once devices.json is retrieved?
Did you get your cooktop connected yet? Looking to automatically regulate ventilation based on cooktop activity.
You can get devices.json on any device with python and copy it over so you don’t need to connect host to internet ever if you don’t want.
By host you mean HA right? Some device has to access internet to get the devices.json no?
Yes, HA add-on host (or standalone docker etc).
If you have a super paranoid setup with HA fully isolated from the internet you could retrieve devices.json on a laptop and copy it over USB etc
That’s ok. I’m ok with the devices connecting to the internet once, for HA the same. When I’ve got everything I need I will remove the OEM Home Connect integration and prevent the devices from accessing the internet. I want to protect my data and have everything work independently from the cloud.
Hello. Just came across this thread and was wondering how things were working out for you.
I am shopping around for a dishwasher and finding it difficult to locate something that seems would last and actually clean the dishes with requiring Home Connect or similar services.
Hoping to find method to control local only without cloud account. Any assistance would be appreciated in select the right dishwasher and correct integration.
You need to sign up to the cloud to set it all unfortunately, but they you can then disable the external connection.
