HomeKit Bridge - does it work with Apple Home 2?

Does the HomeKit Bridge in HA 2025.11 or newer work with Apple Home 2 ? Specifically does it work with the Appple Home Apps on macOS and iOS?

I have it running with Apple Home 1 and was reluctant to upgrade to Apple Home 2, but now Apple will phase out Apple Home 1.

I assume you mean the “old” vs. the “new” Home architecture? Yes, it works with the new one. I’ve switched ages ago and the bridged devices are still working as expected.

I am not entirely sure. I found this: Apple Home - Wikipedia

With iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, tvOS 16.4 and macOS Ventura 13.3 released on March 27, 2023, Home received the option to upgrade to a new architecture which was rebuilt from the ground up to be more efficient for users with multiple Apple Home devices.[21][22][a] Once a home is upgraded to the new architecture, devices using older operating systems can no longer access the Home app.

According to this, I am still using the “legacy architecture”… and my Apple devices warn me that it will stop working in 2026 and I should upgrade Apple Home…

Will the HA Homekit Bridghe continue to work after I perform this upgrade?

Yes, that’s what I meant. I’m on the “new” architecture and the Homekir Bridge in HA is working just fine with it.
