I’m having a really annoying problem that I’m hoping the group can help with. I’ve been using Home Assistant for ages as my main hub to integrate all smart home devices with, and I’ve exposed many entities via the HomeKit Bridge integration so I can use the Home App as my UI and voice commands from iPhones and Apple Watches.
Lately I’ve had a weird issue where all of a sudden HomeKit will report that there are two HomeKit bridges from HA, both with the same name. This wrecks everything since it make some/all of my entities show up in HomeKit as “unsupported” and all of their controls stop working. If I try to delete one of the bridges from Apple Home, they both get deleted and all of my entities disappear. Then I had to re-add the bridge to Apple Home, move 50 or so devices back into the proper rooms, and wait for this all to happen again down the road.
I currently have both a HomePod mini (as my thread border router) and an AppleTV 4K (non-thread version). Does Apple Home have some of problem with multiple home hubs, and perhaps detecting the bridge twice from HA? Or is something entirely different going on here? It pretty much makes the whole integration with Apple Home unusable. ![]()
