Homekit Controller

TLDR : message no unpaired devices found when trying to add the homekit controller.

Long Version : devices stopped being able to be controlled by Home Assistant, so I removed and tried to readd the integration, I guess that was a mistake, because when I try to readd the integration, I get the no unpaired devices message.

I am running homebridge in a docker container and only using it to access my nest devices, everything worked great until a week ago. Home Assistant runs on a docker container on the same subnet. I deleted and completely removed all volumes for homebridge and tried to add again, it still says no unpaired configurations. I dont know why HA keeps thinking its already paired with something. It’s not hidden or disabled or anything like that. I’ve restarted my HA containers and everything, and still no luck.

Could the issue be on the Homebridge side? Perhaps HA tries to pair again, but Homebridge then responds by saying it’s already paired?

Alternatively (but be very careful, make backups and do more research), check your HA .storage directory for any stray Homekit Controller files or entries after you’ve removed the integration.

I deleted the entire homebridge docker container and readded my nest account. It definitely could be on the homebridge side, but I’ve given it a new name, a new mac, “reset” it, deleted its container and everything. I’m not sure how to tell if it’s already paired to another device, and I just tried rebooting my hypervisor, still cannot get it to see an “unpaired” homebridge

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I’m having the same problem.

Thanks!
