Hey folks. I’m having a bit of HomeKit trouble:
First, I find that on large homekit scenes (20+ lights and things) it seems to miss a light or two. rerunning the scene seems to get it all knocked into place though.
Second, I find that some devices (I’ve noted some lights and ceiling fans) sometimes get out of sync with home-assistant. For instance, just now a ceiling fan showed in HomeKit as off, but was in fact on, and showing that it was on in home-assistant. Causing the HomeKit app on my phone to refresh didnt change anything. Changing the fan speed in the web interface caused the HomeKit view of the device to snap to reality.
My setup is a RaspberryPi 3+ running Hass.io 0.94.1
Devices are mostly z-wave.
Things generally seem to work quickly and reliably when I interact with them one at at time.
I’ve got Glances installed and nothing seems particularly stressed on the system.
Enabling debug logging for HomeKit as recommended in the the troubleshooting guide didn’t cause anything obvious to me to jump out.
The Alexa integration seems to work well and without delay or similar misses. (Although, I dont really use large Alexa Routines like I use large HomeKit Scenes…)
Any notes or pointers as to what I should be looking at? For what its worth: I get the impression that some messages to HomeKit are getting dropped on the floor somewhere.
