Homekit filters

I’m trying to add HA Homekit to my iPhone but it literally adds billions of devices.
The ‘filter’ doesn’t seem to be working as I want to exclude EVERYTHING! and only include say 1 device or cameras etc…

Right now I remove the bridge from home on the iPhone, re add it and boom millions of devices, it’s driving me nuts!

In integrations I have Homekit Bridge and 1 service, if I click on configure I get “This entry is controlled via YAML” so off to the homekit.yaml I go and I have this:-

homekit:
filter:
exclude_domains:
- all
exclude_entities:
- all

Is this formatted wrong or going about it the wrong way?
I just want to add a device one by one and exclude all the rubbish, right now it just wants to add everything :unamused:

ok I watched a video and it showed a whole GUI thing which I wasn’t getting…
Not sure if it was a bug, config, whatever don’t care I get something different now…

I was removing the ‘homekit bridge’ integration and rebooting.
It was then automagically adding it at reboot and adding everything.

In the video the guy manually adds the ‘homekit bridge’ it asks what you want to include, exclude. then once set up you can further tweak it.

Why does it not ask this when it adds it by itself…!

This post might help (re recent change in how the Bridge performs when added):

For now I’ve setup a bridge per ‘domain’ and used include only.

So I have a bridge for sensor, one for climate etc and added the devices in I want.
Seems to be working in Homekit roughly as expected.
