I can’t get my device counters to show up in all entities for my phone. I included my garage and blinds and they only show up on full screen and not on my phone.
Hi, unfortunately that is by design. Since I couldnt really make it in such a way that it would only show what was necessary at that time I had opted for the message filter instead (so clicking on the messages filter will also take you to the page that shows what is currently going on).
I am also no longer planning to update HKI 5 to change it as I am working on a complete redesign.
For the ones interested in what the redesign might look like, here are some example screenshots of what is to come.
when do you think this wil be ready? It looks great
Thanks,
Well not sure yet, I am almost finished with the design. I will then need to clean up a LOT of code and then template it. So it might take a while.
Any update on this?
Hi Jim, I really appreciate your hard work on this amazing dashboard, I have been using it for about a year as main UI of Home Assistant on 4 screens around my flat.
I hope the update will come out soon especially now when some of the features stopped working after updating to HA 2024.09. Any idea when the new Homekit Infused version will be released?
Is there any information about the new update?
Unfortunately I don’t have time to update this project (as I am also working on a new project that will supersede this one).
For now the few errors that you will get can be addressed by removing the lines that are erroneous from the config. As for the sticky header part, I will fix this eventually.
I will try to take a look at the projects current state and fix some errors, but it will be the last update for HKI 5. I think the project is stable enough for most people that use it nowadays.
The new project will look like the screenshots above (a few posts back). It will have less configurable areas though as I want to streamline the project more (and also have a lot less work in maintaining it). HKI 5 is a big project and even bigger to maintain as a single person. I simply do not have the time to maintain such a large project.
HKI 6 (or whatever name it will get) will have a more automagical logic which requires less user input. For those that use the custom addon in HKI 5 will be happy to know that those cards can simply be copied 1 on 1 to the new project. Mainly the default HKI addons will disappear as most of them are simply core cards anyways just slightly adjusted for HKI.
When will the new HomeKit infused come out?! Thanks
I need to issue MQTT commands; i.e. action mqtt.publish. How do I do that in Homekit Infused?
Good morning, any release date? Any news?
Any update on the new project?
Thanks
the end???
a bit late @here, but yes, the end of HKI 5 (and what was supposed to become 6) ![]()
However I am releasing HKI 7 as separate cards.
The first card can already be installed, and soon a bottom navigation card will be added as well (you can see them in the screenshots in the new header card).
I’d say check it out:
Or check out the community page instead:
@here Not only the header card has released, but also the HKI Navigation Card
Enjoy!
HKI Elements has been released which is a full dashboard replacement suite. With a little effort you can recreate HKI 5, but I would really suggest checking out the new stuff that is possible instead.
HKI Elements is created with the visual editor in mind so no need for YAML, no need for any other custom cards and no need for any integrations altering Home Assistant. If you want to only use the HKI cards, well… you can!
