Homekit ONKYO Receiver

Hello,

I have been using Home Assistant for a while now to make my home smarter, i am controlling it all using Homekit.

Would it be possible to make use of the new device type: RECEIVER that is available in homekit? so we can have our network enabled av receiver show as RECEIVER in homekit?

Did you ever find a solution for this? I’m assuming your Onkyo receiver is added via yaml.

You can use customise.yaml to configure the Onkyo media_player entity with device_class: receiver. You can then expose the receiver through HomeKit bridge as an accessory and it will appear as a HomeKit receiver device and will also be controllable through the Control Center Remote.
