Enter SGTIN (left Name and PIN blank, since no user account management with PIN is active)
Confirm → prompt appears asking to press the blue system button on the Access Point
Right after that, the popup disappears again (“flickers” briefly) — with no error message
What I’ve already checked/tried:
Checked Settings → System → Logs after the incident (including filtering for “homematic”) → no entries at all
Power-cycled the Access Point → same behavior
Tested the system button independently (started the reset procedure up to the fast orange blinking, then stopped) → button and LED work fine, so no hardware defect
Homematic IP App still works normally, devices can be controlled through it
Tried both via the Home Assistant mobile app and via browser on a PC → same behavior
Checked for old/stuck config entries for HomematicIP Cloud → none present
Question: Does anyone know how to get real error details when even the logs show nothing? Or does anyone know a fix for this behavior?
Thanks a lot for the detailed reply! I went through everything you suggested:
Same L2 segment: Confirmed — Access Point and Green are both on the same router/switch, no guest WiFi or client isolation.
Power cycled the HAP: Done multiple times, including a full factory reset of the Access Point button sequence (blue button held until orange blink) — button and LED work perfectly fine, so no hardware issue there.
Blank name/PIN: Tried, same result.
Watching home-assistant.log live: I kept the Logs page open (filtered for “homematic”) while submitting, and refreshed right after clicking — absolutely nothing shows up, not even an INFO line. Also checked the browser dev console (Chrome) for JS errors during the popup — nothing there either. It’s a completely silent failure on both ends.
Official app pairing first: I couldn’t find any pending cloud-pairing step in the app (checked Settings for anything related to connected services/remote access) — the app itself works perfectly, I can control all devices through it.
Also checked router-side (FritzBox): correct access profile, no DNS-rebind rules, no QoS throttling, tried disabling IPv6 (no change, re-enabled it). Router event log shows nothing unusual either.
At this point it really seems like the popup just silently aborts without logging anything anywhere I can see. Would love any pointer on how to get more verbose debug output specifically for the homematicip_cloud config flow — is there a way to bump logging level for just that component before hitting submit?
