Came across some interesting products on amazon, some recessed ceiling mounts for some of our smart speakers. I wanted something like this from day one but didn’t know how to achieve it or how to power it but now im returning to this to tell you how. Just use one of these, wall ac to usv c power adapters, you can tap it off a light (do not recommend) i highly recommend tapping it off an outlet for constant power as your speaker will go offline when you turn the switch if you use a light switch line which is okay for homepods that are not the running apple homekit or secondary speakers in your system)
Whilst the ones for homepod look like a ceiling speaker which is nice, some of the ones for google nest and echodot are truly beautiful not using a grill mesh but the. surface of the device for a cleaner look like this one.
I have some on order now will update when installed, but this move the device out of the way, stops people from plugging it out and upgrades style of your space
