Homewizard Energy Display - Home Assistant?

Hi,

Home Wizard has been a part of the Home Assistant world for a while now, but not all their products are supported. Specifically, I was wondering about the energy display. It would be great to be able to ‘push’ information from home assistant to the energy display.

I’m thinking: My Solar inverter is supported by Home Assistant, but not by Home Energy; I’d like to push information to the home wizard energy display.

Exactly, I’d love to see this as well. I have many devices integrated in home assistant (heatpump, power meters, PV system). It would be great if I just can push data to energy display to visualize. But seems it’s not possible and no replies here :-/

HomeWizard Employee here: this is not yet possible, but HomeWizard is looking into this.

@DCSBL I’ve purchased Energy+. I also added Huawei as meter for my solar panels. How can I see in Home Assistant the current amount of energy my solar panels are producing? All I can see the total current power (net + solarpanels). I want to see it also seperated, only the amount of energy that the solar panels are producing…

Also when I open the JSON, I dont see any sensors for the solar panels too. I also want to use the energy dashboard in Home Assistant. But I can’t because I can’t integrate my solar panels?

The P1 Meter is like a data dongle for the smart meter. It’s a separate device that you use with the HomeWizard Energy app. The app collects data from the solar panels and gives you combined graphs. The P1 Meter and smart meter have nothing to do with that.

You can use Home Assistant to integrate the P1 Meter and its data, so you can track grid in/out, etc. But the smart meter doesn’t give you individual device data, so you need a separate integration for that. Maybe you can use custom Huawei integration in combination with the P1 Meter. You don’t need Energy+. A more stable (but more expensive) approach is to add a standalone measuring device to your solar panels, like this one: https://www.homewizard.com/shop/wi-fi-kwh-meter-1-phase/ #nosponsor

Ah ok, I’ve already a meter next to my solar panel, when my installation was delivered. But I guess I can’t read it out. Also I’m not an electrician, and I dont know if you can have 2 meters next to eachother? Anyway, I thought Energy+ would help, so I guess I can cancel the subscription, however 11 euros/year is not a big deal at all

+1 I’d like to be able to push data from HA to the Energy Display and also read its built-in temperature and humidity sensors.
