Hello, I’m interested in using Homey and HA together. I understand that HA is often considered the superior option, but my family prefers Homey due to its user-friendly interface. However, I require more devices and control options that HA provides, so I’ve decided to implement a hybrid solution.
I’ve been researching and have noticed that several individuals are offering different options. Therefore, I would like to ask here for the best way to achieve my goal in a single post, where all the relevant information is included.
You can create pretty much the exact same dashboard using the new sections view type and tiles (all core Home Assistant not requiring third party resources). Dashboards - Home Assistant
Or you could even just export selected entities to Homekit if your family uses Apple devices. HomeKit Bridge - Home Assistant
Run up a parallel system and see if they can spot the difference.
I still have a Homey Pro running for the same reason. I use the Zigbee2MQTT community app for Zigbee devices. For all other devices, I use the Home Assistant community app. There is also an official app from Athom, but the community app supports composing custom sensors, etc., which I’ve found to work better in practice.
I wish I could disable Zigbee/Thread on Homey Pro. It clutters up another Zigbee channel.
