Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on a Home Assistant integration for the Honeywell Smile Connect heating controller (SCN-10). The project is still in the beta stage, but it’s now stable enough to be installed via HACS.
The integration was born out of personal need. I have a Smile Connect gateway at home and wanted to control the heating seamlessly in Home Assistant. This led me down a pretty deep reverse-engineering rabbit hole, because this Honeywell gateway - which is at least about 10 years old - uses its own authentication protocol that isn’t publicly documented. But that’s exactly what paved the way to working code.
Currently, I support scenes like Boost, Party, Holiday, and Standby, as well as basic heating controller functionality. The entire project is publicly available on GitHub (honeywell-smileconnect-ha) and can be installed via HACS.
If anyone here has a Smile Connect SCN-10 AND a Smile Room Connect SRC-10, I’d appreciate it if you could test the integration and give me some feedback. I’m particularly interested in whether different configurations or multiple rooms work for you.
Feel free to post feedback, bug reports, or questions here or directly as an issue in the repo.
