In your case, honeywell_unknown_type_0011_id_0008 shows that you aren’t using the HA provided config files. In 0.103.0 the T6 thermostat config file was added to the HA fork of OZW. The config file for the T6 has a setting the affect the setpoints.

Make sure you don’t have config_path configured in your configuration.yaml. Also make sure that you don’t have any other config files installed. If using Docker or Hass.io, that shouldn’t be the case, but if you are using a venv it’s possible if you’ve installed system packages.

The easiest way after that is settled is to just Remove the node and Add it again. You can also remove entities and delete the thermostat entry from zwcfg*.xml if you want to do that.

That’s interesting because I am using the default configs from HA in docker. I don’t have config_path in my configuration.yaml

I’ll try the remove node, then I’ll clean out the .xml file since that’s basically the only thing I haven’t tried when removing and re-adding the node.

This appears at first glance to have worked. But I did have to follow adjust the xml a little to reflect the changes here in order to allow decimal setpoints for this thermostat:

That was it. Honestly didn’t get much past this thread as I had only JUST started looking into the problem (had been squashing other bugs in my system prior). I’ll post a summary here as well for anyone that comes across this thread as well. Essentially this line needs to be updated to include a higher precision value. Also, now the set point disappears if I put the thermostat into “Away” or “Heat Econ” mode. Which honestly is pretty trivial at this point.

From what I understand “Away Mode” should be a preset in the Climate 1.0 changes therefor whatever setpoint mode you have it set to Heat or Cool changing to “Away” preset should just adjust the setpoint kind of like a scene.

Hello All,
Know this is an old thread but hopefully someone sees this Post,
i am using the same thermostat… just migrated over from ST… Painful but well worth it.
i have tried a few recommendations in this thread but for the likes of me i cannot get control of the thermostat. please seepic im at odds how to get it t show the correct set points let alone set them.
any assistance is appreciated.

Yes I am using the old c-wave integration Z-Wave beta.

I just finished setting it all up and having it running. I was looking at the conversion from Z-Wave beta to Z-Wave js… I just don’t have the amount of time it takes to convert all that over at the moment.

Sorry, but I don’t have experience with the Zwave beta (which should be OpenZWave 1.6 if I’m not mistaken). I had issues with the now deprecated version of OpenZwave 1.4, to which I needed to add certain lines to make it work.

I don’t know about 1.6 but 1.4 creates a xml file in the root directory of the Home Assistant config folder. If you could post the device xml file, that might help in diagnosing. Just post the section for the thermostat, that all we would need for now.

I second this. This thermostat works flawlessly with zwavejs2mqtt. My whole zwave network is much more responsive than with either of the older integrations.

So coming in from samsung ST to HA all my Z-Wave devices ran very responsive some even less than a second.
And you are saying that Z-Wave Js is even snapper…Now your just bragging…and it’s causing me to want to jump ship to Z-Wave Js.

Your card has the option to enable auto mode! I can’t get that to show up for the life of me, despite enabling auto change over mode via Z-Wave configuration. Any idea how you got that option to be available?

OZW1.4 generated two xml files, and the one you posted is not the one I was looking for. The other file had all of discovered devices with all of the available configurable options. If that’s the only xml file present, then I’m not sure how else I could help.

It’s your installation, but there are a lot of people using ZwaveJS now. When you have a day or two, I would suggest making the move.

Took two nights after work to get it switched over…same Outcome.

I had a little too much to drink on third night and decided SCREW it! …so i blew it ALL away including HAS and started from Scratch and only with Zwave JS… sad to say No luck.

where is the Zwave JS config XML file located?
