I am trying to install Honeywell Total Connect Comfort (US) integration to control a thermostat I had working just fine with HASS up to today. I am running the latest HASS core on RPi. The card for the thermostat went “unavailable”. I deleted the integration and trying to reinstall it, but the credentials entry fails. I can connect to the thermostat via Residio app and via web portal using same credentials. Thermostat is functioning fine and I am able to control it via above mentioned methods. But the HASS integration refuses to authenticate me. This has never happened before and I have been running it for a better part of a year.
The problem is with the Honeywell SSL certificate. There is a fix, but it won’t be out until the next release of HA. See:
Honeywell has done this before. They may or may not have fixed it by the time you read this, but as of about 30 minutes ago I was still having the problem. I implemented the work-around described in the above issue report, and mine is working now.
It is working now. I guess I panicked because it has never happened to me before. It worked very reliably for close to a year. All is well now, it seems.
