Hello everyone,
I put up the tutorial to create a Z-wave Smart Home Hub using a Raspberry Pi.
I have connected a ZWave USB key as recommended in the procedure.
I was able to associate a sensor of water detector and I can see it in the web console Home Assitant.
But how do i make it active? It currently has two states, a Sleeping (probe) state to OFF and Slepping (WakeUp) also to OFF, and I can not change anything.
Also, when I start the Zwave control panel from the web, I can not change anything either.
You will need to wake the sensor up manually there is usually a button inside/outside somewhere that you press 3 times or hold for 6secs depending on the make. Then you can save your settings to the device, usually for only a min or two before having to wake it up again, tho’ once done it stays done
Hello keithh666 and thank you for your answer and your help.
I proceeded as you said, carried out a wake-up and reassociated the water detector. Unlike before, now the console is able to show me the type and model of the probe. On the other hand, the detection of water does not work. I think it is a configuration problem on my part.
I have a motion detector, which works, at least by looking at the logs (turn off / on) when I enter the room and out.
The use of the Smart Man Assistant is still a little mysterious for me :-), I discover and I imagine that I will have to do scenes to declare alerts, notifications and other actions.
Do not hesitate if you have any advice or other.
Thank you again for your answer.
