For years I’ve been building my Home dashboard. Carefully crafted, functional, and intuitive. Naturally, I’ve called it “Home” - it has every control I need where I needed it.
Now HA has built-in auto-generated dashboards. Being total opposite of characteristics above, it messed up my phone app, replacing my “user created” Home dashboard with the built-in “Home” clutter.
I can rename my Home dashboard to something else. Or, I can re-setup the app, which I did, pointing it back to the correct Home dashboard. However
I really don’t need or want the built-in dashboards at all
I had to reconfigure not just my app, but everyone’s in my home - and this comes at a price of trusting Home Assistant which I have to defend every time there’s a release that breaks what’s worked
Hence the question - is there a way to disable built-in dashboards
For me the dashboard disappeared automatically when I set another default dashboard in settings → Dashboards. When you click on the three dots next to your own dashboard there should be an option called “set as default” or something similair. Hope this helps.
