After installing 2026.3, I have half a dozen new links in my sidebar to default built-in dashboards.
I see there is a check mark on “Show in Sidebar” on the Dashboards view, however I don’t see a way to control this check mark.
Is there a way to turn these off entirely? I like the idea of the new dashboards, but I already have a fully built-out setup, so personally don’t need them in my sidebar.
I’ve discovered I can hold the Home Assistant title to bring up a list with eyeball icons that let me hide links in the sidebar.
Two issues:
I believe these are only for my user. I’d like to globally hide them for all users.
I think this should be easily accessible to globally hide them on the Dashboards settings page. Right now it feels like you should be able to control and set up dashboards from that settings page, including the built-in ones, however the control there is actually very minimal.
If you haven’t already, I believe it would be prudent to read the last few Official Blog posts starting with the December 2025 update release. Any official information on how these work and what may be planned will probably be in there or the companion forum discussion threads.
In Dashboards Setting, each of the new “Built-In” Dashboards has a breadcrumbs/overflow menu that gives you the option to make them Admin Only and/or available in the sidebar.
