Sure, just follow this:
You also have the option of using Home Assistant Supervised with your existing hardware and Debian Linux. That gives you almost the same experience. You need to maintain the OS updates though.
It will likely work with your existing OS but only a Debian Linus installation with no additional software is officially supported.
