How do I use a 36400-MP relay with ESP home and Home Assistant?

I cannot seem to get the relay to work with the esp8266 I am using. This is the current code I have:
esphome:

esphome:
  name: gate-controls-8266

  friendly_name: gate-controls-8266

esp8266:

  board: esp01_1m

# Enable logging

logger:

  baud_rate: 0

# Enable Home Assistant API

api:

  encryption:

    key: "REMOVED"

ota:

  password: "REMOVED"

wifi:

  ssid: !secret wifi_ssid

  password: !secret wifi_password

  # Enable fallback hotspot (captive portal) in case wifi connection fails

  ap:

    ssid: "REMOVED"

    password: "REMOVED"

uart:

  baud_rate: 9600

  tx_pin: 2

switch:

  - platform: uart

    name: "Gate relay on"

    data: [0xA0, 0x01, 0x01, 0xA2]

  - platform: uart

    name: "Gate relay off"

    data: [0xA0, 0x01, 0x00, 0xA1]

binary_sensor:

  - platform: gpio

    pin: GPIO2

    name: "Gate Status"

    device_class: door

    filters:

      - invert:

I have tried to use serial communication and it has not worked. No output from the relay, tried multiple different relays and ESP-8266s. Here is the datasheet for the 36400-MP (https://www.mpja.com/download/36400mpdata.pdf). Any help is appreciated. (EDIT: Yes, I have looked at previous forum posts about the issue!) (EDIT 2: Tried 115200 Baud rate, still not working)
