How integrate my Ecgsolax 6.5kW 48V Off-grid inverter into Home Assistant

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to integrate my Ecgsolax 6.5kW 48V Off-grid inverter into Home Assistant, but I’ve hit a wall. Here are the details:

What I’ve tried so far:

  1. Solarman Integration (HACS): Tried both the old and the new (StephanJoubert) versions.
  2. Local Connection: Tried IP address on port 8899 (TCP). The logger pings, but the integration stays “Disconnected.”
  3. Lookup Files: Tested many YAMLs (deye_hybrid, sofare_lsw3, voltronic_max, axpert_mks_8kw), but none seem to work.
  4. SolarAssistant: Contacted support, but they mentioned they don’t support this specific model yet.

Additional Info:

  • I have a JK BMS connected to a Raspberry Pi running SolarAssistant, which I plan to bridge via MQTT.
  • My goal is to read inverter data and potentially change settings (like AC charging priority based on spot prices) through Home Assistant.

Does anyone have a working Lookup File (YAML) for this 732-series logger or a custom integration that works with the new Ecgsolax firmware? Any tips on how to bypass the “Disconnected” status would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help!

I don’t have an immediate answer but there is a category for request of new integrations in the HA Feature Request area.

Try to use my ESPHome project

and is it possible to unplug/disconnect/built-in wifi, and then connect to the raspberry pi4 with Solar assistant via USB A port, since I have Solar assistant connected to home assistant via mqqt? Will the USB A port still work after disconnecting the built-in wifi?

USB A should work even when internal loger is connected. But there is no VCC on USB-A port.

In the end, I didn't use the USB A port, but I disconnected the CN7901 connector and connected my ESP32 there,,, I paired it with my HA, and my converter in HA works for me

Hi, can you make video tutorial for this? i need it to connect my ECGSolax Hybrid Solar Inverter ECG-HVM6.5KP-48V. Thank you!

Did you read manual from my project?

I use YamBMS for my ECGsolar 5kw 24v

Here is instructions how to use inverter external 'USB' port directly: ECGSOLAX Hybrid Solar Inverter Modbus control – Projektit

There is RS232 pins connected directly to USB connector. VCC pin is used for TX signal source selection in case of integrated WiFi.
