How to add a matter over thread device

I used a Conbee III Dongle, and I had changed its firmware version to matter version.
I followed the instruction step by step: OpenThread documentation (phoscon.de).

All three required Integrations were enabled:

But when I open my phone and add a mattter over thread device , it still showed a tips that said I need a Thread Board Router.

Can anyone tell me why, thank you very much！！！

Cannot add Matter devices

Make sure you have the correct thread credentials on the Android. On the Android Companion App open Settings → Companion App → Troubleshooting (I think that is what it is called in english, but it list logfiles and other tools to diagnostics as description of the item). In this next window click the Sync Thread Login Credentials (Again it might not be named exactly that, but close to and there should not be that many options and it should be in the bottom) It should say either something with …

THANK YOU, thank you, thank you! I have been fighting this with my first ever Matter over Thread device for days, and nowhere else has anyone that I’ve found referenced this step. Once I completed it, I now have my first device in my test environment!!

It was actually mentioned in the first video presentation about Matter in HA.
I just wrote the method down and post it whenever someone fail to pair a device with an android phone.

Well, congrats to you for having that foresight!!! I wasn’t actually going back that far! I was looking for more recent info, which surprisingly there isn’t all that much. I guess that speaks to the adoption rate of Matter over Thread, sadly.

Matter over Thread is coming, but the important parts, like energy monitoring was first really introduced in the last 6 months.
Before that the vendors had to provide the information on a sideband service and energy monitoring is just an important part of smart devices.
