How to add auto discovery script to Home Assistant?

I hate doing tedious things like manually adding devices or items to MQTT. I found the script:

Do I install via terminal? That Failed No PIP

Or install module?

If only there were some instructions about installing somewhere.

Someone might be able to help, I’ve never run that software.

Using MQTT autodiscovery just requires publishing the right payloads to MQTT. You don’t need a custom integration to do that, you can do that in native HA.
