How to add/remove controls on badges?

I really am a starter. Some experience long ago with OpenHAB. Now experimenting with HA.

I do not really understand how to add/remove controls on the dashboard items.
So, i have a item for my receiver. I do not really need the “shutdown” button, but i would like to have the volume button there. It is supported (beneath those 3 dots) but how do i add it to the main screen?

In the edit mode i managed to remove those prev/next buttons for the chromecast but i really do not understand how to re-add them.

Some of the Lovecace cards are just pretty fixed in their setup, but as you found it wrong, so did many others and some of them made their versions with their preferences setuo.
To a look for what other frontend addons there are or go wild making your own with button cards that make service calls to the entity.
