How to adjust automations based on daylight time

Hello,

This might be very simple but i will ask as i don’t have a lot of experience. I have some automations set up based on time that i would like to automatically adjust based on the daylight time.

Currently for example, i have an automation to turn on my kitchen lights when a motion sensor detects motion after 15:00. This automation was build in November where at 15:00 was darker outside and it made sense to turn the light on. Now at 15:00 there is still enough light coming from outside not needing to switch the light on.

I could use the above/below horizon but currently the sun sets at 17:00 and i would need a light from 16:00.

Unfortunately, i do not own a light sensor to build it based on that so what is the alternative? Is there a way to set a condition for example 1 hour before sunset?

Have you looked at the docs for sun triggers?

Honestly no!!! Thank you for the link, I wasn’t aware that there is an offset option and can be negative as well!!!

I will adjust the automations
