I’m considering getting the Aqara presence sensor shown below. I can’t find any device compatibility list which includes it. I don’t have a Zigbee antenna yet, so I can’t search for it in devices. Is there another way to determine if this sensor is compatible?
You could have a look here:
Database of Zigbee devices compatible with ZHA, Tasmota, Zigbee2MQTT, deCONZ, ZiGate and ioBroker
But you never know if it actually works or if it works but not on the list
Thank you.
Supported by Zigbee2MQTT
just for your comment ‘i dont have zigbee’, have a look at what a community member created for non zigbee presence
I have bothe an aqara fp2 and this one, the 1/3 of the price of the fp2 is definitely a thing to consider
I was planning on getting the ZBT-1 Zigbee antenna and configure it as ZHA. But now I’m not so sure!
But you can still search this forum ![]()
There’s at least 1 decently long thread here about the FP1E. Surely someone there has mentioned if it’s compatible with ZHA.
Also, if you’re willing to be patient, Aqara should be releasing the FP300 soon(ish).
I was reading about the FP300 it certainly sounds interesting! I don’t know if I can wait, I might get an FP1 which I’ve read is fully compatible with HA. Well, I don’t even have an antenna yet! Day 3 with my HA Green and I’m loving it!
Thanks I will definitely check them out.
Lesson 1. In Zigbee, it’s called a coordinator, not an antenna.
Good luck & glad you’re enjoying it!
Noted, thanks. I’m also thinking about getting a ZWA-2. It says that it’s a controller so not an antenna either. I can appreciate the difference – I’ve used coat hangers as antenna in the past! ![]()
ZWA-2 is ZWave, not zigbee. Some difference in terminology is to be expected
