I’m using my tv and the soundbar connected to it for music around the apartment a lot when not watching tv.
I’ve started thinking about switching from Spotify to YouTube Music but need a way to differentiate which I’m using in my tv in automations in some way if that’s going to work with my smart home.
I currently have a Boolean helper that checks if the tv is playing and if so, if the source is Spotify or not. I then use that Boolean helper to decide which lights should be on or off since I want more light when not watching tv even though the tv is playing since it’s only music.
Can I somehow determine which is being used on my LG C2? I can’t find any attributed to go off of in HA unfortunately. Or is there another workflow that isn’t too cumbersome for me to play music on the soundbar that allows me to bypass this issue? The soundbar itself has Bluetooth support but that requires me to switch the source each time I want to switch between music and tv and I’d prefer a more automated way if possible
